DNR Wildlife Chief Coming to Grand Rapids to Discuss Controversial Baiting Issue With Area Hunters

DNR Wildlife Chief Coming to Grand Rapids to Discuss Controversial Baiting Issue With Area Hunters

NEWS RELEASE:

DNR Wildlife Chief, Russ Mason is going to appear in Grand Rapids at the Delta Plex Arena on Friday January 28th to present a Town Hall Meeting during the Huntin’ Time Expo regarding the very controversial ban on deer baiting throughout the Lower Peninsula.

Michigan is experiencing a significant decrease in hunting license sales and hunter participation, many blame this on the baiting ban set forth by the Natural Resource Commission (NRC) a couple of years ago. Mason will address this along with other controversial regulations and game laws affecting area hunters at the Huntin’ Time Expo the last weekend in January.

“I’m very pleased to have Mason at the show to address these issues that have become increasingly controversial in recent years,” said show promoter Tom Antor.
