GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Although summer isn’t over, the lessons are beginning for hundreds of new teachers in Grand Rapids.
Beginning Monday, July 29, more than 400 new teachers will fill DeVos Place for training with National Heritage Academies (NHA). They’ll learn the company’s culture as well as Michigan’s Common Core Standards.
NHA is one of the nation’s largest charter school management companies, operating 76 schools in nine states serving more than 50,000 students. NHA schools are located in My Town Grand Rapids South, Plainfield Township, Grand Rapids North, Walker, Wyoming, Kentwood, Muskegon, Holland and Kalamazoo.
