New restaurant moving into former Bennigan's facility

A new business may soon be moving into the former Bennigan’s Restaurant on Alpine Avenue.

Tammy Freedman, the community development coordinator for Walker, says Mike Wysocki has filed a building permit for the facility, located at 3303 Alpine Avenue NW.  According to the application, he wants to add 16 hibachi grills to the facility, as part of the Wild Chef Restaurant.

Bennigan’s Restaurant on Alpine Avenue closed about three months ago.  Its owner, Labelle Management, says the restaurant was no longer profitable. Officials sold the building to Wild Chef Restaurant and closed on December 31.
