Walker business celebrates sweet milestone

Walker business celebrates sweet milestone

WALKER, Mich.—A business in Walker is celebrating a sweet milestone.

This year marks the 10th anniversary for Double Dip Depot, located at 3284 Remembrance Rd. NW.  On August 12, the Mayor and members of the chamber of commerce stopped by the business to hold a ceremonial ribbon cutting marking the occasion.

Double Dip Depot continues to grow.  Last year, business owners added a drive through to the shop and renovated the golf course.  Each year, the owners try to add new flavors to the menu.  This year’s new favorite is salted caramel ice cream.

Double Dip Depot only serves up ice cream made right here in Michigan, including Hudsonville Ice Cream and Sweet Temptations out of Grand Haven. The business employs eight people each season.
