City leaf dump site open to residents

The city is offering residents a free place to dump their leaves this fall.

Now through November 27, residents can dispose of leaves at the public works facility, located at 5068 Breton Road SE.  The location is also home to the recycling center.

The city says disposal hours are subject to change through the season. The site should be open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.  The disposal site is open to Kentwood residents only.  Workers will ask for proof of residency at the site. Other yard waste, like grass clippings, tree branches and dead plants will not be accepted.
