City of Walker Police Department Crime Highlights

WALKER, Mich. - Have you ever wondered how safe your community is or how busy your police department is throughout the month? Well, each month, the City of Walker Police Department posts a report to their website that highlights crime activity throughout the previous month.

The report includes a breakdown of types of crimes committed, number of arrests made and much more.

Walker & Grandville to honor people fighting underage drinking

WALKER, Mich. (WZZM) -- The city of Walker will honor people involved in the community's fight against underage drinking.

The Walker-Grandville Action Coalition Against Minors Drinking is holding a recognition event at 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 10, in the Walker city commission chamber, 4243 Remembrance Rd. NW.

People will be recognized for their efforts and contributing to the reduction of underage driving. 

The people being honored will include residents, school and church personnel, businesses, and members of the Grandville and Walker city commissions.

Walker Public Safety Director Catherine Garcia-Lindstrom and Deputy Director Greg Long will take part in the program, as will Grandville Police Chief Dennis Santo and Deputy Chief Dan Steere.
