Pinkies Up for Kindergarteners' Elegant Day!

Pinkies Up for Kindergarteners' Elegant Day!

Kindergarteners attending Walker Charter Academy are spending this week learning about proper ettiquette. On Thursday, the boys escorted the girls on their arms to the gymnasium for the "Elegant Day" dance. The students paired up and danced the waltz while wearing their finest attire. After the dance, they returned to their classrooms for a Valentine’s Day party. The teachers decorated the classrooms elegantly so the students could practice using good manners. The boys pulled out chairs and properly hung up their coats. The girls practiced saying thank you. Walker Charter Academy’s Elegant Day has been a tradition at the school for fifteen years.
