WHITEHALL, Mich.—The Whitehall community can get a taste of Grand Rapids without visiting the big city during the River City Road Show Saturday, November 2.

"Fauxgrass Quartet" and "Big Dudee Roo" will take the stage for the event, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Howmet Playhouse.

"I'm excited to hear the Fauxgrass Quartet and Big Dudee Roo on our stage," says Playhouse Managing Director Katie Trzaska.  "These are two of the top bluegrass-rooted bands in West Michigan, and it's going to be a good time."

A variety of vendors will also feature their products. Sobie Meats of Walker will offer up smoked pulled pork sliders along with meat sticks; O’Connor’s Home Brew Supply from Grand Rapids’ Heritage Hill  and Rowster Coffee on Wealthy Street  will  also be on hand.

“The River City Road Show is simply an opportunity for attendees to experience some of the best Grand Rapids has to offer for all the senses, and we are very excited to partner with Ambient Productions, Far Bar Sound,  and the Whitehall Disc Golf Course, make this show happen," says event organizer and Whitehall resident Rich Houtteman.  "This event is also a great way to garner some name recognition for the Playhouse as a events venue in the Grand Rapids area.  We hope more people will recognize the Howmet Playhouse name after this event and keep up with what's going on here, even if they are not from Whitehall or Montague."

The River City Road Show is sponsored by Whitehall Disc Golf.  Tickets are $10 and available at Whitehall City Hall during regular business hours and at the door of  the Howmet Playhouse one hour prior to the event.  The Howmet Playhouse is located at 304. S. Mears Avenue.  For more information, call (231) 894-4048 or visit http://www.howmetplayhouse.org/
